Dear Visitor to Costa Rica, Enjoy a siesta with a view from heaven

Welcome to the virtual home of Posada Andrea Cristina in beautiful Puerto Viejo de Sarapiquí in the Caribbean lowlands of Costa Rica, and about 100 km. inland from the Coast.

Less than two hours by car from San José, our Bed and Breakfast is a place to enjoy the wonderful natural beauty of this area. Just minutes from our door, you can embark on a boat trip down the Sarapiquí River, or take a guided tour through a rainforest preserve. Rafting, bird-watching, horseback riding, and cultural activities are all right in our "back yard". Click here to find out more about nearby attractions and tours we can arrange for you.

At Posada Andrea Cristina, your hosts Alexander Martinez and family will provide you with affordable, comfortable accommodation, a complimentary wonderful home-cooked breakfast, and the best Costa Rican coffee you can imagine! Special meals can be arranged upon request. We offer bilingual service in Spanish and English, and can provide you with a wealth of information about the flora, fauna, and people of the surrounding area. Click here for a full description of our Bed and Breakfast. Then come stay for a day, a week, or a whole season!

We are also within easy reach of San José, as well as other well-known attractions such as Arenal Volcano, Braulio Carillo National Park, and Tortuguero on the Caribbean coast. Why not stay with us and explore the rivers and rainforests of the Costa Rican Province of Heredia. Click here for easy directions to our place.

PS. Still haven't made up your mind? Find out what others had to say. Then, come and see for yourself.

Note: Puerto Viejo ("Old Port") is a common name in Costa Rica. Don't get confused. We're in Puerto Viejo de Sarapiquí (on the river, about 100 km. inland); don't confuse us with Puerto Viejo de Talamanca which is down on the Caribbean coast, a few hours from here.
