We can pick you up at your San José hotel, or direct from the Juan Santamaria
International Airport. From there, a scenic two-hour drive over mountain
passes and past silver waterfalls will take you to our base at
Posada Andrea Cristina.
Here, take a day or two to learn about the places you will
be visiting, and adjust to the rhythm of
back-country Costa Rica.
We design an itinerary just for you, anything from a couple of days to
several weeks. In a matter of hours,
you can be on the Caribbean coast, or
standing on an old lava flow watching glowing cinders cascade down a volcano.
Depending upon your interests, we can design a tour to any of the four
corners of Costa Rica, from the Central Valley all the way down to Corcovado
National Park and the Osa Peninsula. We highly recommend visiting some of the
ecotourism cooperatives and other sustainable developments.
Your driver, Alex Martinez, is also a naturalist and accomplished tour guide.
He can offer information on the cultural activities, medicinal plants,
and economic activities in the areas that you visit. Returning from a recent
tour, one family remarked,

and is the safest driver we know of in Costa Rica." Recently operations expanded
to include son Kevin Martinez, who just completed his degree in Ecotourism.
With courses in Ornithology, together with a bit of "on the job" training and "insider tips" from Alex,
Kevin is promising to be a Top Notch Birder. He's rarin' to go!
Our clean and safe, late model vehicle can accommodate a
family of four in comfort, and is built to handle some of the roads less traveled
where you will see "the real Costa Rica".
Our rates are reasonable,
but vary with the season and itinerary chosen. To avoid disappointment,
